Best Breakfast
Hotel Valhall Park is part of Best Western Hotels & Resorts, and as a Best Western hotel, it participates in the Best Breakfast concept. This concept is a breakfast designed for you to have it just the way you want it, and it celebrates locally produced favorites and seasonal products! Best Breakfast also includes homemade items such as freshly baked bread, house-made muesli, and berry compote!
At Valhall Park Hotel, Best Breakfast is a significant part of the hotel breakfast. Here, we offer homemade bread, local favorites from the Bjäre Peninsula, herbs and vegetables from the hotel’s herb garden, and apples from the apple trees in the hotel garden.
Chef Ola has established a kitchen garden outside the hotel’s kitchen where he grows vegetables, herbs, and edible flowers.

Breakfast with a focus on sustainability
The breakfast menu, like the other menus in the restaurant, is adapted to local ingredients and the season. We actively seek out new local suppliers from the Bjäre Peninsula and surrounding areas who deliver seasonal products. Homemade and house-made items are also a focus at breakfast.
At breakfast, we follow the concept of “feel free to try everything,” but with that in mind, we serve most items in smaller portions and on smaller dishes. For example, we serve sandwich toppings in halved pieces, rolls and croissants are half the usual size, and fruit is cut into smaller pieces. Our coffee cups, smoothie glasses, and yogurt bowls are also smaller— all to help reduce food waste.
At breakfast, we serve tomatoes from Tåstarpstomaten, a local tomato grower on the Bjäre Peninsula, from Easter until mid-November. Some of our cold cuts come from Heberleins Charcuterie in Båstad.

Breakfast with historical ingredients
We look back at Valhall Park’s history, when it was known as Walhall Gård and was part of the Engeltofta Estate. Engeltofta Estate, under the leadership of Carl Georg Stjernswärd, was a pioneer in Swedish agriculture. Stjernswärd played a crucial role in making Skåne the central region for Swedish farming and the pantry of Sweden, as many Swedish ingredients are grown here today.
During his time at Engeltofta Estate, Stjernswärd planted a large orchard with more than 300 trees. The apple trees on the hotel grounds today are remnants of that orchard. At breakfast, you can sometimes, when in season, taste apples from these trees in the form of juice, jam, chutney, marmalade, and fruit.
